One of Britain's best regarded political songwriters, Robb Johnson returns to the Cube to play a special gig as part of Bristol Radical History Week. A veteran of the folk clubs of the 70s, Johnson has released over 30 albums either solo or in collaboration with other artists, including Roy Bailey, Leon Rosselson and Pip Collings. In recent years he has worked with his own band, the Irregulars. At a time when folk music is often nothing more than naval-gazing whimsy, Johnson is a reminder of the times when it came with a mordant wit and satirical bite. For anyone who believes in the power of popular song this is an evening not to be missed.

Supported by CLAYTON BLIZZARD. One of Bristol's finest young talents, Clayton mixes acoustic guitar and hip hop beats with pointed lyrics that paint a scathing portrait of modern life.
