Summer Garden Cinema

Celebrate warm days and balmy nights in the Cube Summer Garden!
Two weeks of specially selected Japanese and French cinema.

During the second week Nanoplex is hosting a series of themed workshops for families including kite-making, puppetry, lantern making, mask making and animation (more details to follow on www.cubecinema.com – nanoplex link)
The garden is a shady bolthole away from the heat and chaos of Stokes Croft. Come and join us for some films or for tea and cake.

There will be family screenings of Albert Lamorisse’ 1956 classic childrens movie The Red Ballon- followed by Hou Hsiao-Hsien’s 2007 version Le Voyage du Ballon Rouge.

We have also teaming up with specialist film distributor Third Window Films to present a yummy Japanese/Korean confection with a blend of kitsch, grit and humour in titles such as Kamikaze Girls for our adult audience.
