Rozi Plain is going to win you over with her beautifully intimate music that captures life slowly floating by. She possesses a voice that somehow sings just for you – warming your ears, shining through closed eyelids and glowing on cheekbones like a permanent summer sun. Rozi is a regular member of Arctic Circle and Francois and the Atlas Mountains, but tonight Rozi plays with her own band to launch her stunning debut solo album, Inside Over Here: ten songs showcasing an engaging, fresh new voice in British songwriting.
Sleeping States is the musical project of Markland Starkie who, armed with an electric guitar, found sounds, vocal samplers and a strong DIY punk ethos, will introduce you his endlessly varied avante-garde noise-pop-indie-punk loveliness.
The Pictish Trail, aka Johnny Lynch, co-founded the Fence Record Collective, and has just released his first full-length solo album proper. Recently seen playing with regular collaborators James Yorkston and King Creosote at Green Man festival, tonight Johnny brings his warm, funny, folky pop songs to the Cube.
