Icelandic wunderkind Mugison was last seen at the Cube at a giddying sell out show in 2005. Since then he’s traded his laptop in for a bass player and a drummer of flesh and blood, cranked the amp and gone on a mission.
Arriving on these shores in tow of a new LP that took these past three years to complete (and has already become Iceland’s best selling album of all time), Mugison is back and he’s unstoppable. Here is a man who often veers between deeply moving bizzaro balladry and heavy duty rock ‘n roll in the same song. Here is a man who spent the good part of 3 years howling in his garage until the songs felt right, felt real and beyond all, felt good.
