‘Without deviation, progress is not possible’.
Covering the work of guitar god/avant-garde composer/satirist Frank Zappa is a task as monumental as blanketing Europe with a snug-fitting sheet. Zappa and his band ‘Mothers of Invention’ fused forms, experimented with and expanded musical boundaries with ground breaking musicianship, and in the process created and mutated modern performance and recording techniques and formed his own riotous, bizarre mix of music.
Zappa established himself as perhaps the most fearless musician known to popular music. He incorporated modern classical music, blazing rock, blues and doo-wop, guitar solos he called "air sculpture" and an extremely cynical point of view to forge a legacy that remains completely unique 15 years after his death.
Come and be immersed in the world of Zappa through music videos, interviews, and a live Zappa-inspired performance by the Orchestra Cube. Choice tunes in the bar.
