A special double bill of cult movies directed by enduring visionaries exploring the lives of wayward souls finding their place in the modern world. In one case things start out good and go really wrong, and in the other they start bad and go really right! Both are unique and charming urban adventures that we would love to share with our members on our 10 anniversary for FREE.

STROSZEK

(Herzog / West Germany (subtitled) /1977 / 115mins / digital / cert 15) (Sun 26th / 7pm / Free)

Lovable ex-con tramp Stroszek (the actors real name) and his friends have local thugs on his case in late 70's Berlin. After they seize the chance of a new beginning their fates are locked into a bizarre, unhinged trajectory. Director Werner Herzog - who has enjoyed recent success with GRIZZLY MAN and RESCUE DAWN- again creates a touching, amusing portrait of humanity under duress. Joy Division singer IAN CURTIS hanged himself shortly after watching the film, though he was reportedly already quite stressed out.
