Jack Black and Mos Def play two video store employees who, one day, find all their stock has been wiped.
In order to keep the store's one loyal customer, an elderly lady with a tenuous grasp on reality, the pair re-
create a long line of films including The Lion King, Ghostbusters and Robocop, putting themselves and
their townspeople into their work.

Another magical movie outing from French genius Gondry, whose inspiration for the film was allegedly
the ability to correct the one niggle he had with his favourite film – Back to the Future – by having Mos Def
play Marty McFly teaching a bunch of white guys to play the blues – a small fact that reveals many of the
serious intentions of his deceptively simple comedy.
