Following last month's spectacular session with Evan Parker, Eddie Prévost and John Coxon, Soundklatsch returns for another night of radical improvisation.
John Edwards is one of the world’s best and busiest bass players, famous for his work with figures such as Evan Parker, Sunny Murray, Steve Reid, Spring Heel Jack, and Chris Corsano. He is joined tonight by saxophonist Adrian Northover, an active player in the London free improvisation scene, known internationally for his work with The Remote Viewers and the London Improvisers’ Orchestra. They will play both solo and together, exploring the limits of their instruments and new possibilities of musical interaction.
Support comes from the Bristol-based duo of Simon Preston (percussion) and Kevin Figes (saxophones), starting with ultra quiet noises from sax and thumb piano and mutating into cajun reconfigurations of classic Charlie Parker tunes.
