One of the most memorable films to come out of the legendary Ealing Studios, 'Kind Hearts' is a blacker-than-black comedy about sex, death and revenge. Determined to claim the noble title that he lost after his mother was
disinherited, Louis Mazzini (Dennis Price) sets about his plan to kill the remaining members of the D'Ascoyne family that stand between him and his birthright (all of whom are played by the sublime Alec Guinness). As English a serial-killer as they come, Mazzini sends his victims to their fate with Empire efficiency and a stiff upper-lip, highlighting a largely felt post-war dissatisfaction with the ruling classes. Razor sharp satire at its ironic best.
