Voice of the Seven Woods is the project of Manchester based poly-instrumentalist Rick Tomlinson, who has re-defined the new folk sound with his hand-carved skeletal play of psych-scarred, meditative folk music combining trademark Anatolian and Indian instrumentation with traditional European sensibilities. On the cusp of a major US tour to promote debut album release for Twisted Nerve, Seven Woods promise to warm the Cube with the last embers of the summer campfires, bringing the nostalgia of a festival that never was.
Saturation Point drag you back to the eye of the apocalypse. They are
punishingly loud effortlessly dwarfing their peers' heavy climaxes while surrendering none of their melodic inclinations or sense of space. And that is their undoubted beauty.
Men Diamler is one man and he plays a variety of things. All material is handmade and home produced, and is the sound of a broken corkscrew. We love him – let’s leave it at that.
