A special screening of the classic 1981 documentary to mark World Animal Day on October 4th. The film graphically demonstrates how animals are used for food, fur, sport, science, and vanity. The London Film Festival introduced the work, which played in movie-houses on three continents, but was not broadcast for fifteen years. During the past quarter-century, the conditions of animals on factory farms has in fact become worse, as their raising is a profitable industry that meets the felt needs of the vast majority of the population.
