Performance Showcase and Apple Fiesta

On the Cube stage an artist embarks on the presence and architectural formations of man-made satellites and draws on our personal connection to the orbital environment. In the lounge, the walls will be covered with magazine pictures, articles and plastic sheets onto which a film is projected. The work refers to choices we have in relation to globalisation. A young man is hoping to improve his vision by eating through a huge pile of carrots, while a large stopwatch counts down to the end of the piece. A dancer on stage seeks to present movement wich has a strong personal signature and is not part of a dance style or movement repertoire.
The audience will be lured into the patio by sounds emanating from a shiny mirror ball and baked apples freshly harvested from feral trees in Bristol.

We seek to show contemporary performance, dance, installation and visual arts in and around the Cube beyond the format of scratch nights and before high fly performance acts circulating the touring worlds.
You and Your Work presents emerging artists from Bristol, the South West and London, whose work cherishes a DIY aesthetic and sweats on a low budget.
