Ladyfest Bristol is returning in 2007 after a four-year hiatus from the 27th August until the 2nd September. The week will be featuring film, club nights, gigs, exhibitions, lectures and workshops throughout the city. The fest aims to bring together and celebrate all aspects of female creativity and raise debate and discussion about gender issues, and women’s roles in society today. The fest
is keen not to just focus on music, but to incorporate all aspects of where women are doing creative work, spanning art, music, writing, theatre and crafts,
all the time hoping to raise awareness and have a lot of fun!

The Cube is proud to be involved in Ladyfest Bristol, and will be supporting it by having days and nights that span their ethos. We will be hosting the launch party on Monday 27th August. The night will feature Anat Ben David of Chicks on Speed, Gaptooth, DJ Blackrainbow, Lady Lucy's film 'Don't do Tricks' and a speaker from the Fawcett Society. The night will also be the opening of a new art exhibition featuring the work of Lady Lucy and Susie Hogarth.
