Live'n'up Tour

The Live'N'Up tour features great young bands from Somerset and the
South-West region. The idea for the tour followed a 'Battle of the
Bands' competition earlier this year where first prize was a place at Glastonbury Festival. Following the competition some of the musicians involved applied to the Youth Opportunities Fund to help sponsor a
tour. They were successful. Live'N'Up now wants to help improve young people's access to live music. Better opportunities for talented
up-and-coming young bands to play live. Better opportunities for a
younger audience to attend at a reasonable price.
Headlining band will be Not Your Hero (http://www.myspace.com/notyourhero) from Yeovil who are making their first appearance in Bristol and will be promoting their recently recorded single. They will be supported by the very talented and well known local band from Bristol, The Naturals
(http://www.myspace.com/naturalsmusic); and by Blue Roots, from Taunton, who play a beautiful funk-rock style of music ideal in a live venue
(http://www.myspace.com/bluefunkyroots). The show will open with a solo set from an up-and-coming young man from Glastonbury, Jim Ollier, who recently secured a place and performed at the Glastonbury Festival (http://www.myspace.com/jimolliermusic).
