Curated by Birgit Binder and Sylvia Rimat.

A gambler in the lounge of the Cube is embarking on an aesthetic inquiry into anxiety and stress generated whilst playing cards. A performer tries an impossible dance between stage death and audience expectations.
On the streets a 'wicked which of the east' orchestrates interventions into Bristol's fences by stitching coloured cotton text onto them. A young man will set off with his hiking boots and rucksack to collect earth from different city corners to unpack it with stories of quantum physics back in the cube. On a treasure hunt the audience is invited to challenge their public behaviour through team work and finding new friends.
From five illuminated tents dotted around the Cube area narrative fragments of neighbourhood, political borders and alienation will emanate through to the audience who can wander around, enter and listen. A video will show glimpses of a woman's life, her particular – albeit anonymous – history, exploring place, modes of perception and memory.

After a successful first run this May, You and Your Work 2 embarks on a new and more daring showcase, featuring unsusual site specific performances,
installations and walks outside the Cube. Performance, live art, visual art and barbecue within the Cube realm. Let the weather be on our side !
You and Your Work presents emerging artists from Bristol, the South West and London, whose work cherishes a DIY aesthetic and sweats on a low budget.
