Probably one of the Cube’s most admired singers comes with her band while on tour in Europe. Carla's also known as the singer from LA based band The Geraldine Fibbers and as the woman who re-made Willie Nelson's ‘Red Headed Stranger’ - with Willie Nelson as a special guest. Carla has one of the most unique voices in any genre, she is at once brutally emotive, thrillingly raw and weirdly traditional. A deep, dirty Patsy Cline pulling all kinds of tricks.
Last year Carla made an album of considerable intensity called ‘Evangelista’ on Constellation records. She made it with the help of friends from Godspeed! You Black Emperor and Silver Mount Zion, at the now famous Hotel2Tango in coldest wintertime with a pocketful of beautiful noises and loops prepared back home in L.A. Outlaw torch songs from a visionary.
S A A B is the Sound of Aircraft Attacking Britain from Cardiff, who will create stories without words with the help of elongated notes, odd sounds and PureData just before our very ears.
And in the bar, Trillbilly keeps it real with a screwed & chopped combination of country music & Houston hip-hop. DJ Screw pioneered this style in the prolific Houston hip-hop scene. R.I.P. DJ Screw, but his sound lives on and tonight it will come to Bristol in a new form, knowwhati'msayin'?
