42nd Street Presents Gruesome Twosome

-
Mon 11 June 2007 // 20:00

(Mon 11th June / 8pm )
(Herschell Gordon Lewis / USA/ 72 mins / Cert 18)

Take a trip back down 42nd Street as we proudly bring you another offering from the twisted mind of Herschell Gordon Lewis, the founding father of Grindhouse.
The Gruesome Twosome features crazy old Mrs. Pringle who runs ‘The Little Wig Shop’ where she specializes in wigs made entirely from human hair. Mrs Pringle rents rooms to local college girls who wind up disappearing after a talk with her psycho son, Rodney. A few days later their hair is proudly sitting in the wig shop. When a co-ed friend of amateur sleuth Kathy disappears, Kathy investigates until she comes face to face with Rodney and his new electric carving knife.

Combining gore and way out humour this has to be one o the best Grindhouse movies ever made!

It also has one of the strangest openings of any horror film with two
polystyrene wig heads amiably chatting about the upcoming plot.

Combine this with our usual mix of live DJ and rare original Grindhouse trailers and you have yet another evening at The Cube that you’d be mad to miss.
