The Heavy Heads Disco Present – Monterey Pop & BBQ

The Heavy Heads present a 40th anniversary screening of the legendary Monterey Pop Festival. In June 67 musicians from around the world gathered in California for the first major rock festival, which paved the way for future festivals like Woodstock and Glastonbury. The diverse and stunning line up included Jimi Hendrix, The Who, Janis Joplin, Otis Redding and Ravi Shankar as well as many others.

The film of this seminal event was the first of its kind and captures these now influential artists performing at their very best as well as encapsulating the spirit of the impending Summer of Love and the burgeoning counter culture that followed.

The Heavy Heads DJ’s will be in the bar playing a selection psychedelic sounds.
