An evening of Afrobeat, it origins and its influences. The Cube will joyfully vibrate to Nigerian rhythms on this rare occasion! The evening will start with a talk about Santeria, traditional Afro-Cuban music and its Yoruba, following which, Santeria music and rituals will be performed live by GRUPO ANYA ORON.
Needless to say, that we look forward to some (HDBS) Heavy Duty Booty Shaking to the relentless grooves of Fela Anikulapo Kuti, Antibalas and Tony Allen. Spunky Records will be aired by DJs Rum Stevens, and Sugar Cane Kush! Time is stretched into infinitive, revolutionary and joyous directions with the power of the word, the rhythm, images and music.
