On a bare black floor, a map of Gaza is sketched in white paint, its cities, camps and neighbourhoods roughly outlined. Within it, nine people who escaped the devastation stand and tell their stories: a poet, a journalist, a young musician, an artist who lost his family, a teenager determined to become a medical researcher, a woman who ran a cancer support charity. Through memory, gesture and silence, Nicolas Wadimoff’s documentary asks how survivors can reconnect with themselves, stop being ghosts, and perhaps come back to life.

The screening will be followed by a panel discussion.
