The latest from visionary duo Hélène Cattet and Bruno Forzani (The Strange Colour of Your Body’s Tears), is a dazzling, ultra-stylish homage to 1960s Eurospy cinema brimming with vintage cool with flashes of giallo excess.

Set in a luxury hotel on the Côte d’Azur, the film follows John, a retired spy whose quiet, opulent existence is unsettled by the sudden disappearance of a mysterious neighbour who who reminds him of Serpentik, a nemesis from his past glory days. As memories fracture into fantasies, he is plunged back into a lurid world of glamour, danger, and intrigue, where seductive figures and shadowy enemies blur across time.

With playful surrealism, flashes of gore, and a sharp sense of cinematic self-awareness, the film is a hypnotic collage where memory, madness, and moviemaking collide. A visual treat we are super happy to finally be able to bring to the the big screen!

"a film that manages to be both familiar and completely different, a work of visceral pleasures uninterested in genuflecting to rules or expectations" Film Stage

"For something so lovely, it is hard-edged, and it sparkles with visual wit." 4.5 stars Eye For Film
