A rare chance to see in full Colin Wilson: His Life and Work a new six-part film series that takes a deep dive into English philosopher and writer Colin Wilson's life and thought, the films will be presented by Director Jason Figgis and Producer John West who made the series and knew Colin personally.
Colin Wilson launched onto the international literary scene with his universally acclaimed debut, The Outsider. The series details his working-class youth, his overnight literary fame at the age of 24, his association with mid-century literary figures, and his later career exploring consciousness, the occult, and the paranormal. He has written over 100 books on a vast range of topics and could be said to be one of England's most prominent and interesting writers.
These films will also interest those into ideas of consciousness a big theme that permeates much of Colins work, as well as those into the occult, true crime and science fiction. Colins work touched on so many themes, and he had a fascinating life to match.

The films total running time is around 6 hours and will be screened from 1pm in 2 hour blocs, with a hour gap between them, so you will have time to get up walk about, grab food etc.
Jason Figgis (The Girl on the Balcony, Jack the Ripper: The City of Dreadful Night, Bram Stoker: Father of Dracula) edited and directed these films over a two year period during COVID lockdowns; they are considered the definitive film biographical study of Wilson. Co-produced by Figgis with writer and journalist John West (Psychic News, Starburst).
