The 'backrooms' are liminal spaces consisting of an endless maze, monochromatic yellow floors and walls, and fluorescent lighting and have captivated online horror fans for years.

The film is directed by Kane Parsons, known as KanePixels on YouTube, a man made famous by his anthology series that explores the 'backrooms' via atmospheric first-person videos, helping to popularise the concept and amassing over 190 million views to date.
