The Heavy Heads Disco pay tribute to Syd Barrett, the former lead singer, guitarist and co-founder of Pink Floyd. He was the maverick front man and creative force behind the bands early work. Making music that was singular both in its effortless lyrical strangeness and its quintessentially English take on psychedelia. Barrett's music and mystique achieved a lasting influence that still continues to shine on.
In the auditorium there will be footage featuring the music of Syd Barrett and early Pink Floyd and the Heavy Heads djs will be playing a selection of psychedelic sounds in the bar.
