In honour of their late grandmother, a Holocaust survivor, cousins David and Benji join a Jewish heritage tour through Poland. While they were once close, they now live very different lives, and the trip threatens to drive them further apart.
It's tricky subject matter for a buddy-comedy/road trip movie, but thanks to Eisenberg's personal script and understated direction it manages to get the bittersweet tone right without getting overly schmaltzy or veering into tone-deafness. But the standout contribution is from Kieran Culkin, who delivers an unforgettably expressive and vulnerable performance as the gregarious, impulsive and unfiltered Benji .

"Jesse Eisenberg has just given us a masterpiece... an effortlessly witty, fluent and astringent comedy with a very serious overcurrent" - Peter Bradshaw, The Guardian, ★★★★★
"An amusing and compelling inquiry into human pain and suffering." - Katherine McLaughlin, Little White Lies, ★★★★
"Strikes a delicate balance between irreverence and pathos, between pacy, quickfire comedy and the moments in which the confluence between the past and the future weighs so heavily that it’s hard to breathe" - Wendy Ide, The Observer, ★★★★
