Remorae is an interdisciplinary collective of artists brought together by the Folkatron Sessions recording project (featured by Songlines Magazine, BBC Radio 3, BBC Radio 2, 6 Music, Soho Radio, and Folk Radio UK). Exploring traditional musics through experimental processes, their EP Flourish in Green (2024) is the culmination of many years of playing with musical forms and modes of collaboration in unique constellations of artists, and represents a pivot-point in the group's creative practice, re-centring improvisation and live performance.

Praise for Flourish In Green:

Plays on BBC R3 Night Tracks (Johnny’s on the Water and Greyfriars), BBC R3 Unclassified, Travelling Folk (Radio Scotland), Soho Radio, BBC Radio Oxford, and BBC Introducing Mixtape on BBC R6. Previous releases also featured on BBC Radio 2 and Folk Radio UK.

“They lean towards folk traditions but they have so much going on under the surface, and so much experimentation” - Dave Gilyeat, BBC Introducing / BBC Radio Oxford

“Almost an English Lankum, gentler maybe if with no lesser intent. More, definitely, please” - Seuras Og, At The Barrier

“Johnny’s On The Water is very welcome from a group of musicians whose modern interpretations breathe new life into the past” - Alex Gallacher, Klofmag

“... this unusual approach to lyrical interpretation is indicative of Folkatron’s experimental approach to what electronics and manipulation can oer to traditional music.” - Helen Scott, Daily Info
