Join us for a celebration of the life and works of Mort Garson, on what would be his 100th birthday.
Garson's most well-known album is 1976's Mother Earth's Plantasia, self-described as "warm earth music for plants and the people who love them". Composed entirely using a Moog synthesizer this album is a "feature-length ode to harmony" (The Quietus) and a certified cult classic.
His works range from pop songs for Doris Day to his occult album 'Black Mass' released under the pseudonym of 'Lucifer', via the counter-cultural re-imagining of the Wizard of Oz, 1968's 'Wozard of Iz'.
It's impossible for us to touch on every part of Garson's career and creative pursuits, but we'll give it a damn good go!
Expect visual re-scores, a live synth tribute and much more as we celebrate one of the great pioneers of electronic music.
