Storm Thorgeson and Aubrey 'Po' Powell founded the design agency Hipgnosis in 1968. Initially established to produce an album cover for their Cambridge buddies Pink Floyd, they quickly established themselves as an in-demand outfit. Along with their creative partner - and future Throbbing Gristle member - Peter 'Sleazy' Christopherson, they produced some of the most iconic pop-and-rock imagery of the era, working for the likes of Led Zeppelin, 10CC, Paul McCartney and, of course, Pink Floyd. This documentary, an oral history tracing the colourful history of the company, is a lavish audio-visual love-letter to a bygone age when the cover art on the sleeve of an album was considered to be as important as the music inside.

After the screening there will be a Q&A with Sam Brooks,a photographer and academic who worked with Storm Torgerson for nearly a decade at the start of his career.

Following the event, Cube DJs will be in the bar spinning Hipgnosis-related tunes for anyone inclined to stick around for a drink and a boogie!
