A feature documentary exploring lockdown’s effect on Bristol - day and night.
The screening will be followed by a live improvised performance from percussionist and key collaborator on the project, Dan Johnson. Dan's drumming forms the heartbeat of the film itself, join us as this beat jumps off the screen for a unique performance to plunge us back into the sound and themes of the film.
“Your whole delusional dream of June being the day everything goes back to normality is a f***ing facade, fam.”
Pieces of the Bristol lockdown experience, captured and explored by a variety of artists, are woven into the fabric of this film, with music from Kahn, Dan Johnson and Kayla Painter - creating a collage documentary which represents the biggest psychological and irrevocable change of our lifetime, a powerful moment where some of us realised what we need as a collective society, finding out who we really were and what we really need to live.
Premiere of a new documentary by Tom Whitson & Colin Moody. All profits go to the artists performing on the night.
