In Masaaki Yuasa INU-OH, the main protagonist is born with unique physical characteristics. One day, he meets a boy named Tomona, a blind biwa player. As Tomona plays a delicate song of tangled fate, Inu-oh discovers an incredible ability to dance. Inu-oh and Tomona become inseparable friends, using their creative gifts to survive on the margins of society, as song after song gain them notoriety and propel them to stardom. It is a story about the friendship of Inu-oh and Tomona, who dance and sing to get to the truth and break each other’s curse. 

Animated film director Masaaki Yuasa made his feature-length debut in 2004 with Mind Game and his film LU OVER THE WALL won the Cristal for Best Feature Film at the 2017 Annecy International Animated Film Festival. His latest film Ride Your Wave won the Award for Best Animated Feature Film at the 2019 Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival and was also nominated for a 2021 Annie Award.

INU-OH is the first outing of the Cube's Anime Season.
