This is what KLF is about, also known as the Justified Ancients of Mu Mu, a.k.a. The JAMs, a.k.a. The Timelords, etc etc . . . the band who . . . with total D.I.Y. independence, scaled global Pop heights, and transcendentally honoured a succession of maximal creative impulses. All the fucken way.
10 years in the making, Chris Atkins' telling of the tale unfolds thirty years of serious mischief in a magic 90 minutes.
A voyage through previously unearthed archival footage, woven together with new + archive interview & re-enactment to build a roaming record of Bill Drummond and Jimmy Cauty’s adventures during after and before The KLF - and then on to the furthest reaches of The K Foundation beyond that . . .
Expect robed and robbing journos, the baffled, dicey and sussed, Trancentral invites, Swedish lawyers, charred half-tons, replica bluebirds and timelords, marriage inducing wickerman ceremonies plus sage reflections from Discordian fulcrum John Higgs, the magnificent Alan Moore, and even footage of the Cube's own 2015 KLF event where we re-made Jimmy and Bill's most reverberant action at a scale of 1000:1.
Not to be missed. Rated at least a 99 out of 100
The screening will be followed by a director Q&A, hosted by investigative journalist Victoria Hollingsworth
