As part of the Sunak Government Culture Recovery Program we're able to provide a unique showing across a broad range of artistic endeavors in a strictly one night event. High Concept High Wank is a exploration of art-as-art rather than art-as-entertainment. We seek to engage the community in art-as-philosophy and meta-artistic discourse, to bridge the gap in understanding between us as human beings which language can never reach. Each piece seeks to elucidates a piece of truth, to pluck it from nature itself and sow it within us; a piece of non-sense used as steps to climb beyond them. We do not believe that the former is refuted by the latter but that each step does not contradict one another, but where one is as necessary as the other. The bud disappears when the blossom breaks through; the fruit appears as the apex of the plant, somersaulting over the bloom into an organic unity as the sprouting of life as a whole. It is rather that to transcend the aesthetics of art is, so to speak, to throw the ladder after one has climbed it.
