(Pennebaker/Hegedus/Doob / USA / 2001 / 35mm / 98mins / cert U)
(Tues 11th / 7pm / £2ttt)

The musicians behind the Soggy Bottom Boys, which is the name of the fictional bluegrass band in the Coen Brothers' film O BROTHER, WHERE ART THOU? are brought together at the legendary Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee.

As well as performances from the likes of Emmylou Harris, Ralph Stanley and Alison Krauss, the film also captures the backstage rehearsals and preparations that went into the event and provides a brief history of folk and bluegrass music.
Down From The Mountain makes you look at country music in a completely different way.
