My Latest Novel are a Glaswegian five-piece in the tradition of melodic popsters Belle and Sebastian and The Pastels. All breezy folk melodies, girl-boy vocals and soaring violins, they wooed last year's Green Man Festival, and went on to play with Smog and tour with Pixies. Now signed to Bella Union, their lush instrumentation and anthemic songwriting have drawn comparisons with 2005's slow-burning sensations, Arcade Fire.
