"The cleverest, crankiest, wittiest, wildest, and most character-driven sci-fi adventure in 25 years; it's the best outer-space trip I've been on since the empire struck back." - Scott Weinberg, EFILMCRITIC.COM

"Effectively a Western in space, Serenity is a thoroughly entertaining, smartly written, beautifully acted, rip-roaring action-adventure movie, that will appeal to both Firefly fans and newcomers alike." - Matthew Turner, VIEWLONDON

Captain Malcolm Reynolds (Nathan Fillion) and his crew take smuggling and robbery jobs to keep their ship afloat, and to stay under the radar of The Alliance, the conglomerate that not only rules the galaxy, but was on the opposite side of the war Mal lost years ago. But when Simon (Sean
Maher) and his unstable, telepathic sister, River (Summer Glau) join the crew, they get in much more trouble than they bargained for. A mysterious man (Chiwetel Ejiofor) is after River, because she stumbled onto a secret no one was supposed to know... and the Alliance will do anything to get her back. Gina Torres, Alan Tudyk, Adam Baldwin, Morena Baccarin, Jewel Staite and Ron Glass also star.

This is a Charity showing of this excellent film, benefitting WaterAid and the Kevin Smith memorial trust [http://www.kevinsmithtrust.com/].
Kevin and Gina Torres worked together on 'Hercules'. We are Kumara
conventions, made up of keen volunteers running not-for-profit events
based in Bristol at the moment. We used the Cube in September 2002 for a Kevin Smith film festival in his memory and have run a mini Xena
convention and a 'Firefly' shindig (the tv series on which 'Serenity' is based).
