DEER PARK : YEARS YEARS

An unusual afternoon of performance by Bristol based experimental theatre collective Deer Park. Following their Cube summer residency, Deer Park presents a local preview of their new show 'Years, years'. The performance is a continuation of Deer Park’s explorations into a new genre of musical theatre: its use of rhythmical structures, detailed layered atmospheres, soundscapes of text, live and recorded music creates field situations in which ideas, emotions,
associations, narratives, landscapes flow and circulate.
'Years, years' unfolds as a series of journeys into the woods with all necessary attempts at (dis)orientation. These journeys evoke traces of stories – of love and departure, of adventure and disaster, of an erotics of danger, of animal becomings, of sudden deaths, of deep-black-scary-night-of-disorientation and bright-blue-early-morning-of-potential.
