Sebastian is a fresh faced 20 year old who lives an impoverished life with his immigrant family, working as a roofer. The client dies before the boy can be paid, but not before he overhears a conversation that seems to promise easy money. Throwing caution to the wind, Sebastian follows some cryptic instructions and soon finds himself embroiled in a seedy underworld of drug addled
desperation and brutality.
First time Georgian director Gela Babluani creates a captivating atmosphere of threatening mystery and powerful pyschological violence. Black and white cinematography and a sparse contempory score help to enhance the building tension throughout the film. With echos of spanish thriller INTACTO this moody tale of luck and fate provides a satisfying yet dark cinematic experience.
