Surrender to the mighty Mugstar

with PUSS & It Blinked

Wed 18 October 2017 // 20:00

Tickets: £8

The Cube is proud to welcome the legendary Liverpool Psych-Grandads Mugstar back to our theatrical environs. Influenced by kraut/psych/space/noise rock such as Oneida, Sonic Youth, Neu! and Hawkwind, since 2003 they have released several albums, a split release with Mudhoney and one with Damo Suzuki. Recent double album: "Magnetic Seasons" was released in 2016 on Rock Action Records. This night will be sure to be a visual and sonic treat.

Support comes from PUSS, made up of Christelle from Vena Cava and Chris from Oh The Guilt their noise/synth experiment comes across like a Pissed-Off John Carpenter, recalling the simplicity of the great directors themes in an ear-battering noise/darkwave assault of the senses, full of haunted, howling vocals and crackling 80s drums.

Also tonight, It Blinked! the band made up of local label Noctone Records' head honcho's Jamie and Mark, batter us this night with their No-Wave Guitars and Kraut-Rock Drums triumvirate.
