Glaive presents JAMES YORKSTON + King Creosote + Whalebone Polly
(Fri 15th Oct / 8pm / £5/6)

Glaive returns to The Cube with the extraordinary new folk sounds of JAMES YORKSTON. The Fife born artist has been something of a best kept secret until recently but with a second album on Domino released last month (produced by Kieran Hebden aka Four Tet), he is fast emerging as one of the most assured, confident and gifted songwriters in the contemporary folk world. Songs of love, lust and loneliness with the authenticity of undiscovered traditionals…
James is touring with another member of the thriving Fence Collective: KING CREOSOTE, a bashful and embittered troubadour with ramshackle lo-fi folk to share.
Local duo WHALEBONE POLLY (Rachel Dadd and Kate Stables) complete the billing with their delightful blend of banjo, clarinet, melodica and intoxicating vocal harmonies.
