We're very excited to be screening Bayou Maharajah, the bittersweet story of James Booker... described by the mighty Dr John as "the best black, gay, one-eyed junkie piano genius New Orleans ever produced". His unique style fused jazz standards with rhythm and blues, gospel and Latin influences, all flavoured with his own flamboyant sensibilities.
With The mighty John Stapleton, Boom Operator and Kid45 spinning the finest New Orleans Funk, Soul, Jazz, Gospel and R'n'B 'til late and Cube Mixologists serving up Hurricanes, Daiquiris and Gin Fizzes with aplomb there's no excuse not to get your Big Easy party on!
Director and Producer Lily Keber will be in attendance for a Q+A session on the night too.
