Led by vocalist Tammy Payne (Smith and Mighty, Jukes), Tamco features some of the most vibrant and innovative musicians from both the rock and jazz scenes - bassist Jim Barr (Portishead, Get The Blessing, Peter Gabriel), guitarist Neil Smith (Liftmen), keyboardist Dan Moore (Pee Wee Ellis, Andy Sheppard, Maceo Parker) and drummer Matt Jones (Zun Zun Egui).
Their first album ‘Don’t Think Twice’ was an album of covers, gaining them 4 stars in Mojo, The Daily Mirror, BBC Online, etc. The album was released on Edition Records, the UK´s leading jazz label, though Tamco were something of a black sheep amongst the pure jazz they usually release, covering material like Leonard Cohen, Elvis Costello, and Jacques Brel. This will be a début
performance of Tamco´s new material.
